In a pulp and paper mill, the boiler is the central equipment in the manufacture of pulp. In this Bracell Star project, in Lençois Paulista, the boiler will allow production to reach up to 2.8 million tons of bleached eucalyptus pulp per year, or 1.9 million tons of soluble pulp per year.
The recovery boiler will have a capacity of 12,000 tons per day. The unit also has three turbo-generators with a capacity of up to 144 megawatts (MW) each.
The scope of the project in question consists in the electromechanical assembly of the recovery boiler and all its auxiliary equipment. A peak workforce of 1720 employees is expected.
