Wood Yard

The wood yard covers the handling and preparation of the wood, from the moment it arrives at the mill, to the moment it is sent to the mechanical pulping area (in the form of logs or chips), or to the chemical pulping area (in the form of chips).

It can be said that the quality and economy of pulp and paper production begins in the wood yard. In pulp production, the raw material cost represents the largest percentage in the total production cost. Thus, minimizing the wood loss and increasing the quality of the chips are vital factors to assure the overall profit of the production system.

ENESA Engenharia has vast experience in contracts similar to the Wood Yard, where the predominant scope refers to the assembly of conveyors, stackers, yard equipment, piping and electrical/instrumentation. A peak workforce of 500 employees’s expected.
